For Global Events Group, long term success is a source of great pride as the Portland-based company moves into its fourth decade of creating, managing and marketing special events.

 

Global Events Group has grown to be one of the premier event sponsorship and production groups in the West.  Concerts and celebrations, fairs and festivals, motor sports, movies and more have been a part of our rich history.

 

In the early days, the company focused on the production of music events and festivals.  These festivals covered a broad range of musical styles and venues, from concert halls, to stadiums, to speedways including:  Marlboro Country Music, The Oregon Jams, contemporary Christian music festivals and the Mt. Hood Festival of Jazz.  From Rod Stewart to Roberta Flack, Hank Williams Jr to Heart, Diana Kroll to Alabama, George Strait to the Grateful Dead.

 

Next came the marketing, publicity and promotions for major movie studios like Paramount and Disney.  Global has promoted over 400 films garnering regional and national recognition along the way.

 

Motorsports has been a major focus for GEG including: ALMS IMSA (18 years), and Champ Car (24 years).  Sponsorship relationships have included: Budweiser, Freightliner, Tommy Bahama, Toyota, Federal Express and Mazda.

 

For the 100th Anniversary of Harley Davidson GEG won a national competition to host a 3-day celebration in Portland attracting more than 8000 motorcyclists.

 

For more than two decades Winter Wonderland, designed and produced by Global, has been recognized as one of the top holiday themed light shows in America (featured on NBC’s Today Show, AOL and USA Today).

 

Over 10 million spectators have attended GEG produced events with a combined economic impact exceeding $400 million.  Over $8,500,000 in gifts, donations and services contributed by Global Events Group have benefited public facilities, charities, not-for-profit organizations, and schools.
