As
described by the official Harley-Davidson website www.Harley-Davidson.com:
Nothing says excitement like the sweet rumblings of Harley-Davidson
motorcycles riding across the United States on their way to Milwaukee.
Following the global Open Road Tour festivals, Harley-Davidson will
launch The Ride Home, allowing riders from around the world to join
four journeys across the U.S. that will culminate in Milwaukee on
August 27, 2003 for Celebration Events. |

Event Description:
|
This
one-day celebration features musical entertainment, food, family-oriented
activities, motorcycles and a Harley-Davidson executive address. Portland
OR, one of only 4 cities chosen in the US, will host the commencement
of the H-D Anniversary Ride Home Northwest Route. |

Place: |
The
popular South Park Blocks in beautiful downtown Portland, Oregon,
stretching from SW Salmon to SW Jackson and SW Broadway to SW 10th
Avenue. |

Sunday,
August 17, 2003; 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Event begins with food vendors and musical entertainment and concludes
with an address to the public at 6:00 pm from a Harley-Davidson Executive.

Admission: |
The
event is free and open to the public. Anticipated attendance is 6,000
- 8,000. |

Promoters: |
Global
Events Group will be the liaison with Harley-Davidson Motor Company
for coordinating all aspects of the event. The Portland Oregon Visitors
Association (POVA) will be the liaison with the hotel staff. POVA
and Global Events Group will work jointly together in the overall
management of the event to ensure the event's success. |
